Corrective Exercise

We teach our patients special “blueprint” exercises to help strengthen and correct their own unique problem. These exercises can be performed in the comfort of your own home and can improve the effectiveness of your spinal correction.

In addition to skeletal misalignment, muscles and connective tissues can be out of place or strained by improper alignment and use. Specific exercises and stretches can help your body stay in balance and in health.

Corrective exercise can be helpful at any age as we age, the potential for problems increase simply because our daily lifestyles decrease our ability to cope with those issues which arise from spinal biomechanical abnormalities.

Research has demonstrated that spinal misalignments can be caused or aggravated by activities of daily living. Your corrective exercise program should focus on the problems you have developed over your lifetime.

Dr. Bridges may take x-rays during your initial visit to our Ames chiropractic office which provides a road map of not only the position of each vertebra but also whether there is any loss of motion or abnormal stress to surrounding tissues and bones.

This will help us create a corrective exercise routine that is specific to your needs.

Corrective exercises
for hips & shoulders

At Bridges Chiropractic Clinic, we teach our patients how to perform special “blueprint” exercises which can help strengthen and correct the irregularities in their body which may be causing pain in hips and shoulders. Many of these corrective exercises can actually be performed in the comfort of your own home to help improve the effectiveness of your prehab exercises.

Lower body corrective exercises

In addition to skeletal misalignment, you may be experiencing pain that is caused by muscles and connective tissues which are out of their proper place. Other types of pain such as back pain, neck pain, and headaches are caused by lower body muscles and tissues that are being used improperly, causing injuries over time. You need prehab to avoid rehab for mobility.
In each case, targeted corrective exercises and stretches from our experienced chiropractor will help you feel good while also helping your body achieve balance and health.

At your first visit to Bridges Chiropractic Clinic, Dr. Dean Bridges will explain how chiropractic care works and give you a full evaluation to see if our chiropractic solutions are a good fit to address your needs. If there is a good fit, we can customize a plan of Boise chiropractic care for your condition and health goals.
